Georgia"s current president Giorgi Margvelashvili assesses the presidential election and states that the quality of democracy has sharply declined. According to him, elections of such standard should never again be held in Georgia. He also congratulated Salome Zurabichvili with the victory and expressed readiness to cooperate with her in the process of transition of power.
"I would like to express my concern about the sharp drop of level of democratic elections in the second round and I would like to say that such elections should never again be held in the country. I would like to congratulate Salome Zurabishvili, the fifth president of Georgia, I wish her luck and I would like to say that as soon as she names the responsible person, we will be ready to start our cooperation,"- Margvelashvili said.
