The President of Georgia hosted the annual meeting of military servicemen of the armed forces.
The military servicemen of the Georgian Armed Forces attended the solemn reception with their family members.
Today, the President has awarded 112 military servicemen with the Orders and Medals of Georgia for the special courage and dedication to the fight for the territorial integrity of Georgia.

"Today I want to thank you once again for our comrades who stood heroically during the 2008 war. They stood face to face with the regular Russian army and thank not only for the heroism with which they protected Georgian citizens and land of Georgia, but also
not violating human principles. I am grateful that Georgia came out of this war morally correct, because nobody can blame the Georgian soldier for having committed any illegality. None of the military have violated the main principles, "- Giorgi Margvelashvili said.
