The United Opposition demands to remove Salome Zurabishvili from the registration. Giorgi Vashadze made a statement at a special briefing today.
Opposition will appeal with a law suit to the court. According to Giorgi Vashadze, this is envisaged by Article 47 of the Election Code, wh is about the bribery of voters.
Vashadze read the specific prohibitions mentioned in the article. For example, Giorgi Vashadze indicated to distributing potatoes, onions and second hand clothing, as well as pledging to pay off the debts of 600 000 citizens. Video evidence will be presented to the court.
The opposition demands to launch a criminal case against high officials, prime minister and Tbilisi Mayor for bribing voters.
"We appeal to the Prosecutor"s Office and request to launch a criminal case, according to the first article of Article 164 of the Criminal Code of Georgia against the Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Bakhtadze, who committed a criminal offense when he voiced the voter bribery in live air, and to Mr. Kaladze who also conducted a direct crime in his statement, "said Giorgi Vashadze.
