The Institute for Economics and Peace published the Global Terrorism Index 2025, marking a new historic high for Georgia.

According to the report, Georgia has improved its ranking by 6 positions and has achieved a zero terrorism level.

Georgia now holds the best possible ranking, sharing the 100th position with several other nations worldwide.

Besides, Georgia ranks 1st in Europe for being free from terrorism, along with 11 other countries that received an equal assessment.

It should be mentioned that Georgia surpasses all G7 nations, as well as more than 20 NATO and EU member states, in terms of freedom from terrorism.

The IEP’s analysis indicates that in 2012, Georgia was ranked 41st globally and held one of the worst positions among European and Black Sea countries, specifically ranking 7th in the region. However, since 2012, Georgia has significantly improved its ranking by 59 places in the global index.
