The discussion of the legislative initiative of Eka Beselia at the sitting of the Bureau of Parliament was followed by noise and debate.Majority members once again criticized the proposal and called the document prepared by their teammate "anti-constitutional".
The MP demands postponement of the appointment of judges for a lifetime till 2025. Beselia explains that the issue of moratorium is on the agenda because the Parliament should have time to regulate the criteria for lifetime judges.
Levan Gogichaishvili, the secretary of the faction Georgian Dream for "Strong Georgia" hopes that the legislative initiative will be discussed at the committee sitting in the nearest future.
