Father Giorgi Mamaladze, who is in custody, was taken to Gudushauri clinic from Matrosov prison with a diagnosis of ischemic seizure, according to the Penitentiary Service. According to the agency, the convict was diagnosed with a hypertensive crisis and a transient type of ischemic attack, resulting in his transfer to a civilian medical institution.
Father Giorgi felt sick at 18.38 in the prison and he was given help on the spot and the emergency brigade was called. The cardiogram did not show substantial changes, so the ambulance medical personnel did not find it necessary to transfer Giorgi Mamaladze to the hospital.
At 21.35 am the ambulance brigade was called again in the Matrosov prison and the convict was placed in Gudushauri Clinic for further studies.
