Miners in Tkibuli demand prime-minister’s arrival - miners in shafts continue hunger strike

The protest rally in front of the Tkibuli City Hall has been temporarily suspended. Miners say the rally will resume again tomorrow and the protest will take on a wider scale. Protesters demand the PM"s arrival.

"Tomorrow the rally will be resumed and it will be much more large-scale. We urge everyone to join us. The Prime Minister should definitely arrive. The issue must be resolved once and for all. Gakharia himself should tell us what are their promises. We will wait for the Government meeting. If the demands are not met, the action will continue and we will probably bring here tents", - said Khvicha Gabunia.
The protest rally in front of the Tkibuli City Hall has been temporarily suspended, but up to 30 miners remain in the shafts and continue a hunger strike.
