The Tbilisi City Municipal Assembly approved a budget of GEL 2.55 billion for 2025, marking a “notable increase” supported by GEL 580 million in aid from the central Government, as announced by the Mayor of the capital.
“We try our best to answer all challenges and problems adequately. The next year"s budget also gives us the opportunity to do so. In 2017, after we were elected by the people of Tbilisi, the budget for 2018 was set at GEL 815 million. Today, of course, the figures have changed significantly.
I would like to thank Irakli Kobakhidze, the Prime Minister, the Government, the Ministry of Finance for their support, the cooperation was important for successful execution of future projects”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
The allocation of the 2025 budget will cover various sectors, with infrastructure projects receiving GEL 700 million and health and social care funding assigned GEL 535 million.
