Georgian Sports Journalists’ Association named Lasha Talakhadze as the Sportsman of the Year

Georgian Sports Journalists’ Association summed up 2019. According to them, Olympic, world and European champion, weightlifter Lasha Talakhadze again was named as the Sportsman of the Year.

According to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Talakhadze became the first athlete to be selected for the fourth time.

On the second place is the champion of the world, wrestler Geno Petriashvili, and on the third place - world, European champion Lukhum Chkhvimiani.

Best female athlete of 2019 is Eter Liparteliani.
