As of today, 3 071 new cases of COVID-19 are confirmed within the last 24 hours. It was announced by Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force operating at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council at a press-briefing held today at the Government Administration.

“Since the detection of the first case the total number of infected has reached 114 889.

3 366 individuals have recovered within the last 24 hours, thus making the total number of recoveries reach 95 581.

Unfortunately, 34 new fatal cases have occurred within the last 24 hours. Since February 26, 2020 the total death toll has reached 1 085.

Out of 3 071 new cases detected today, geographic coverage of COVID-19 is as follows: 1 314 cases have been detected in Tbilisi, 523 - in Adjara, 264- in Imereti, 104 - in Kvemo Kartli, 44 - in Shida Kartli, 106 - in Guria, 232 - in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 214 - in Kakheti, 165 - in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 84 - in Samtskhe-Javakheti and 21 - in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.

At present, active cases of COVID-19 have reached 18 197, out of which 6 145 individuals are treated at hospitals, out of which 2 712 are stationed in Tbilisi, 1 010 - in Adjara and 1 241 - in Imereti. Currently, acute health conditions are observed in the case of 886 patients, out of which 405 are based in Tbilisi, 140 - in Adjara and 214 - in Imereti. Lung ventilators are used in the case of 324 patients, out of which 165 are stationed in Tbilisi, 49 - in Adjara and 42 - in Imereti.

3 723 individuals are placed at COVID Hotels, out of which 1 108 are based in Tbilisi, 2 047 - in Adjara and 262 - in Imereti. 8 329 individuals are treated at home.

2 071 individuals are placed in quarantine, out of which 434 are located in Tbilisi, 1 021 - in Adjara and 33 - in Imereti.

In total, 17 814 individuals have been transported from the sovereign border to quarantine spaces in the period of October 6 through November 24, 2020.

At present, 51 936 individuals are in self-isolation, out of which 17 231 are based in Tbilisi, 13 768 - in Adjara and 4 951 - in Imereti”, - said Berdia Sichinava.
