The prosecution will apply to the Tbilisi City Court today regarding the use of detention measure against Nika Melia. Such a statement made the Prosecutor Amiran Guluashvili.
“According to the resolution of the legislature, the fact has been confirmed once again that the execution of a court decision is obligatory for all people, regardless of their position and political affiliation. Parliamentary immunity does not constitute indulgence to avoid criminal liability.
Today, the Prosecution will submit a relevant motion to the Tbilisi City Court. Since the issue concerns the application of the measure of restraint, the court should schedule a relevant court hearing as soon as possible”, - added Amiran Guluashvili.
