Journalist injured in Chkondidi Diocese incident needs surgery

6 people were injured in the incident in Chkondidi Diocese - five of them are media representatives and one is a parishioner. The victims were taken to local hospitals yesterday. Among them is the operator of Rustavi 2.

POST TV journalist Soso Khoperia, who was injured, was taken to Tbilisi Hospital late last night for treatment and continues treatment for a fourth lumbar fracture at New Hospital.

TV Pirveli cameraman Aleko Khazalia, POST TV journalist Soso Khoperia, Rustavi 2 cameraman Dato Konjaria and Formula cameraman Iago Vekua were among the injured.

Papuna Shushania has a concussion and fracture.
