The Interagency Coordination Council urges citizens to be diligent in using facemasks and comply with strictly controlled regulations designed to prevent virus transmission. Today’s meeting of the council- chaired by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili discussed the country’s epidemiological situation and growing statistics of confirmed cases in light of eased restrictions.
On the Coordination Council"s decision, in-person attendance, with up to 30% of the stadium’s seating capacity to be filled, was allowed for the March 28 soccer game between the national teams of Georgia and Spain, with mandatory social distancing and other epidemiological safety standards to be observed.
Tickets will be available online, and ticket-holders will enjoy movement permits until 1:00 AM, to return home during the curfew after the game. Because of the soccer game on March 28, public transport, subway and busses, will operate until 1 AM.
On March 28, a rugby match is also planned between Georgia and Romania. Again, the stadium may be filled up to 30% of its seating capacity for in-person attendance, with all epidemiological safety norms to be observed.
