Geologists to study landslide processes in Gudamakari - 22 villages are still isolated

On the Oshpiteli-Gudamakari road section, where a slope collapsed due to heavy rainfall yesterday, cleaning works are to start today.

Geologists of the National Environment Agency of the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture will study intensified landslide processes on the spot.

“Geologists carried out initial surveys of the target area to assess the situation, and made appropriate recommendations for protective measures, in particular, clearing the road, fragmentation of overhanging boulders on the slope, and then arranging protective metal barriers”, - reads the statement.
