Coronavirus was confirmed to a high-ranking clergyman - the head of the Diocese of Samtavisi and Kaspi.

According to Kurieri, Reverend Damian and other clerics of the monastery had been in self-isolation since Thursday. Samtavisi Cathedral was closed for 10 days.

At the same time, due to the identified cases, schools and kindergartens in Samtavisi and Igoeti were closed.
