People over 55, on dialysis, or who had organ transplant can be involved in vaccination process

Persons over the age of 55 can be involved in the vaccination process. Such a statement made today the Minister of Health.

“We discussed the calendar of vaccination process. The Immunization Council made an additional decision regarding the fact that we will add our citizens over the age of 55 to the vaccination group. This is due to the fact that we want to observe whether there is a big interest and how good the activity is among our citizens who are over 65 years of age”, - said Ekaterine Tikaradze.

She also added that dialysis patients are one of the highest risk groups, and noted that they will be vaccinated on the spot in the facilities where they undergo dialysis therapy.

“We also considered an important group of people who have had organ transplants, also at high risk, and therefore they can also get vaccined from April”, - concluded the Minister.
