Police solved the case of wounding in Batumi - 1 person detained

The officers of the Adjara Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained a former convict- L.K. (DoB 1995), as a result of operative-investigative activities. The mentioned person was arrested on charges of the attempted premeditated murder.

The committed crime envisages from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on April 9 of the current year, the accused wounded N.Sh (DoB 1967) with a cold steel in back area during the conflict which took place in Batumi and fled from the place of crime. The wounded female has been transferred to the hospital, her life is no longer in danger.

Police arrested L.K. Based on the judge"s decision, he was detained in Batumi.

The weapon of the crime - a knife - was seized as evidence.

Investigation is in progress on the fact of the attempted premeditated murder under the article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
