In order to ensure security and rule of law, employees of various units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been mobilized in Rioni gorge.

“For security reasons, the movement of citizens in the gorge to certain directions is temporarily restricted in accordance with Articles 25 and 26 of the Law of Georgia on Police.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs will not allow the protest in Rioni gorge to develop in a violent scenario and will make strict response to any violation of the law.

Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to act in full compliance of the law on freedom of expression and adhere to the rightful demands of the police”, - reads the statement of the MIA.
