3 people accused of assaulting journalist Vako Sanaia are still being held in custody. The decision was announced by the judge Ketevan Jachvadze in the Tbilisi City Hall.

The prosecutor demanded that arrest be left effective as the remand measure as he considered the accused assailants might have fled or destroyed the evidence.

The defendants’ lawyers required that their clients be released on GEL 4,000 bail.

Journalist Vakho Sanaia and his relatives were attacked by 3 people on February 25. All attackers are detained.
