Following the 30th anniversary of the Georgian Defense Forces, in honor of the memory of the heroes who died for the territorial integrity of Georgia as well as during the peacekeeping missions and service duties, the section of Kazbegi Street and the surrounding area in Khashuri were named “Alley of Fighters Killed for the Territorial Integrity of Georgia”.

The Commander of the Defense Forces, Major General Giorgi Matiashvili, and his Deputy Chief of General Staff, Brigadier General Joni Tatunashvili, attended the event. The names of 50 heroes of Khashuri municipality, who died in the battles for the territorial integrity of Georgia, engraved on the memorial.
