Rikoti Highway strike - more than 200 employees demand a rise of salary, improvement of working conditions

Road construction workers employed at one of the sections of the Tbilisi-Senaki-Leselidze highway went on strike. Protesters demand a 30% rise in daily pay.

They are going to continue protests if their demands are not met. The strikers will gather today near the head office.

Employer company - Chinese Hunan Roads and Bridges Construction Group - has requested a week to resolve this issue.
