According to the Head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, one case of a South African strain has been confirmed in Georgia.

“I confirm that one case of the so-called South African strain has been laboratory confirmed. The infected person is a citizen of Georgia with the history of traveling to Dubai. The patient already recovered”, - added Amiran Gamkrelidze.
