Strategy Aghmashenebeli registered a legislative initiative according to which convicted persons cannot hold the post of rector at higher educational institutions.

According to Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of the party, the initiative envisages changes to the procedure of electing rectors: from now on, rectors will be elected through direct elections and a secret ballot.

“The initiative envisages amendments to the Law on Higher Education. As the author of the legislative initiative, I am delivering on the promise to the Technical University students who went on hunger strike near the Ministry of Education and Science”, - added Giorgi Vashadze.
