Georgian Manganese and Shukruti protesters reach agreement

Georgian Manganese Company and the protesters have reached an agreement.

Locals of the village of Shukruti have ceased the hunger strike.

“As a result of constructive negotiations, the parties agreed that damage estimate could be carried out according to the existing model that is recorded in the memorandum signed between the locals and the company, or by the Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau upon locals’ request”, - reads the statement of the Georgian Manganese.

Rallies against Georgian Manganese was held for more than 100 days.
