Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation on the incident in one of the villages of Tsalka Municipality under Articles 126 (violence) and 154 (Unlawful interference with the journalist’s professional activities) envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.

On June 30 of the current year, in the village of Tsintskaro, Tsalka Municipality, the local resident physically confronted the camera crew of “TV Pirveli” who interfered with the professional activities of journalists and physically assaulted them.

As soon as the report was received, the police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation.

Investigative measures are underway to impose appropriate legal responsibility on the offender.
