Further escalation of the confrontation with swearing and verbal abuse is unacceptable in the already tense situation, reads the statement of the Georgian Patriarchate.
“We appeal to the citizens of our country, all members of the society - it is inadmissible to further escalate confrontation with swearing and verbal abuse in the already tense situation.
Turning the confrontation into physical abuse will be detrimental to Georgia. Violence can never be good, it will hurt not only individuals but our entire society and state.
We call on everyone to calm down!”, - reads the statement.
