Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri once again responded to the events of July 5.

“We did not even think that there would be violence against journalists. We could not have imagined that such massive violence against journalists would take place. No one could have imagined that. The investigation had been launched. 15-16 people have been arrested. All the culprits will be punished accordingly”, - said Vakhtang Gomelauri.

He also added that it is not a problem for him to arrive at the Parliament and talk about this issue.

“I am obliged to go when the procedures are scheduled and I am called. Of course, if health does not prevent me, I will definitely come and visit many times. There is no problem, on the contrary, it would be good to explain in detail to the MPs what happened and how it happened”, - concluded the Minister.
