Public Defender met with the President of Georgia. According to Nino Lomjaria, the events developed on and after July 5, as well as shortcomings in the ongoing investigations, were discussed at the meeting. In this regard, the Ombudsman stressed the need to bring the organizers of violent actions to justice, which has not happened so far.

The investigation into the death of Lekso Lashkarava and the dangers posed by violent groups in the country in general were also the topics of discussion at the closed meeting between the Public Defender and Salome Zourabichvili.

At the end of the meeting, the Public Defender expressed a desire for the public to hear the messages from the President more frequently, as the above is important for the protection of democratic values ​​and human rights in the country.
