According to the chemical examination report, drugs were found in the samples taken from the body of TV Pirveli cameraman Alexandre Lashkarava. Such a statement Mamuka Chelidze, Director of the Central Criminal Police Department, made at the briefing in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“Employees of the MIA carried out more than 200 procedural and investigative actions. A forensic examination is appointed to determine the immediate cause of death, involving an independent expert hired by the family.

According to the chemical examination report, the samples taken from the corpse contained drugs, “morphine”, “codeine”, “tetrahydrocannabinol”, “pentin” and “monoacetylmorphine”. According to the examination, the cause of death might be drug overdose. This conclusion is not final”, - added Mamuka Chelidze.
