Ministry of Internal Affairs detained 4 persons for illegal restriction of freedom

The officers of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative and investigative activities detained T.N. (DoB 1981), Z.S. (DoB 1982), G.T. (DoB1999) and Sh.Sh. (DoB1998) for illegal restriction of freedom.

The committed crime envisages from 2 to 4 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that the accused T.N. together with three accomplices, on August 2 of the current year, illegally restricted freedom to A.K.(DoB 1998) in one of the villages of Mtskheta Municipality for the purpose of the forced marriage.

Law enforcement officers arrested all four offenders as a result of immediate police activities.

The investigation is in progress under Article 143, Part I, which stipulates illegal restriction of freedom envisaged by the criminal Code of Georgia.
