Rescuers undergo training in swift waters rescue operations in cooperation with US

Rescuers from the Emergency Management Agency, in cooperation with the United States Department of Defense, underwent swift rescue training operations.

“Congratulations Graduates! Marietta Fire Department Rescuers from the State of Georgia led two one-week courses on swift water rescue for 30 Emergency Management Service rescuers, 10 Georgian National Guardsmen and 4 representatives of General Mazniashvili Youth Legion. The training covered basic rescue skills and procedures and further trained EMS rescuers for rescue operations.

They even performed a real rescue when a boat bumped theirs and lost a passenger. This lifesaving program was made possible through the U.S. European Command’s Humanitarian Assistance program”, - reads the statement of the US Embassy.
