Agile Spirit is clear evidence of the solid and exemplary relations that connect Georgia with the US - Irakli Garibashvili

I wish to congratulate you all with a successful completion of the multinational exercise - Agile Spirit. This year it stands out for being the10th Anniversary held in our country and for engaging over 2500 servicemen from 15 NATO member states and partner nations. Such a statement the Prime Minister of Georgia made at the official ceremony marking the completion of the multinational exercise Agile Spirit 2021.

“This exercise is an outcome of an annually growing cooperation between our defence forces and US Army Europe. I wish to particularly welcome and congratulate each serviceman participating in the exercise and all others, who planned and executed it. Irrespective of the current pandemic, successful performance of the exercise in the current circumstances once again demonstrates your preparedness, your high calibre professionalism, your dedication to sparing no effort on the protection of common values. Current year has truly become historic for us and each partner country. You may well be aware that the Resolute Support Mission held under the aegis of NATO in Afghanistan is now officially complete and Georgia made a significant contribution in it. We recently welcomed the Georgian servicemen returning home from Afghanistan and stated out loud that Georgia as the most reliable partner of the USA and NATO will continue protecting common interests and strengthening global security with its usual effort. Multinational exercise - Agile Spirit is part of this very effort, as it greatly facilitates the strengthening of regional security along with the development of defence capabilities and interoperability of Georgia and partner nations.

I wish to once again welcome and thank our friend - General-Major Thomas Carden - Chief of the National Guard of state Georgia for his visit to the country of Georgia and active support of our defence forces. We will always remain grateful to the USA for the tremendous support in advancing democracy in Georgia and in the capacity building of our army. Officers, Sergeants, Corporals and Regulars, by participating in this multinational exercise you improved your skills again, advanced level of preparedness and quality of interoperability with NATO. It will ultimately lead to strengthening the security of our country and region. I thank you all for your participation in the exercise and wish you every success in achieving your goals. Thank you. God be your protector!”, - concluded Irakli Garibashvili.
