We are ready to cooperate closely with the Prosecutor’s Office at all stages of the investigation - SSSG

The State Security Service of Georgia [SSSG] has released a statement regarding the materials spread on the Internet relating to secret recordings.

“As you know, the Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation into the violation of the secrecy of private communications. The State Security Service of Georgia is ready to cooperate closely with the Prosecutor’s Office at all stages of the investigation. It is in the agency’s objective interest the investigation to be comprehensive and thorough to answer all questions.

At the same time, the SSSG urges the media and political stakeholders to refrain from disseminating inaccurate and unverified information until the investigation is completed, as dissemination of such information violates the dignity of individuals, security officers and the service as a whole, and undermines trust in the law enforcement system”, - reads the statement.
