Moscow has asked the Georgian side for legal cooperation in connection with the murder of Anastasia Shatalova, writes RIA Novosti.
According to the information agency, Moscow has sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia regarding this case.
"The Department of Interests (Section of Interests of the Russian Embassy in Georgia at the Swiss Embassy) has sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia requesting information on the crime committed, as well as provision of necessary legal assistance to the father of the deceased regarding the quick transfer of the body.
The employees of the Department are in direct contact with the father of the deceased who has arrived in Tbilisi.
All necessary measures are being taken in close cooperation with the Georgian authorities to protect the interests of the relatives of the deceased, including her minor son, who has Russian citizenship”, - reads the statement.
