Within the framework of the Media Literacy Week and in partnership with the National Communication Commission, UNICEF had a discussion with the students of public school #123 in Tbilisi about what is media literacy, why it is important, what kind of resources exist for children and how we fight disinformation and debunk myths around the pandemic and COVID-19 vaccination.
“Media Literacy is the 21st-century skill that helps people to assess information, critically handle and check the reliability of sources. Once the infodemic spreads along with the pandemic, it’s especially crucial for young people to have that skill”, - said UNICEF.
