Georgia to start talks on direct Tbilisi - Madrid flights

Negotiations have begun between Tbilisi and Madrid on the creation of direct flights. Such a statement made the Deputy Minister of Economy.

Mariam Kvrivishvili met with the heads of Air Europa and Iberia airlines during her visit to Spain at the Future of Tourism Word Summit.

Direct, weekly flights between Kutaisi and Barcelona will start on October 31, at Kutaisi International Airport, by Wizz Air.

“We are pleased that the Barcelona - Kutaisi route will operate from October 31, and therefore diversification of markets and direct destinations is a top priority for us, to facilitate the flow of more tourists from Europe to our country”, - added Mariam Kvrivishvili.
