At the Wanderlust Travel Awards, Tbilisi was named the most desirable city for short-distance travel. Such a statement made today the Mayor of the capital.
“Lisbon and Sevilla also won in this category. It is noteworthy that the winner of the nomination was selected by the readers. It is especially gratifying to be recognized by such a well-known media publisher and its millions of readers during the pandemic period.
This once again highlights the diverse tourism products of the capital and presents the urban tourism potential of Tbilisi for international travelers and professionals in the tourism sector. I remember before the pandemic, how the cafes, bars, and hostels were developing. The pandemic has certainly affected this area, but we are launching our support programs to help you as much as possible to host tourists to introduce our capital to them with its monuments and culture. This recognition is important and I want to wish success to my city”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
