The officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of The Ministry of Internal Affairs detained N.K. (DoB 1974) as a result of operative-investigative activities in Marneuli, and L.K. (DoB 1992) in Ponichala settlement.

The mentioned persons are accused of illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities.

The committed crime envisages from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.

As a result of LK"s personal search in Ponichala settlement, the law enforcers seized 700 grams of heroin-containing narcotics as evidence.

As for N.K., the police arrested him in Marneuli. As a result of the search of the storage building of his residential house, the law enforcers seized more than half a kilogram of drugs containing “heroin” as evidence.

Investigation into the facts of illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities is underway under Article 260, Part VI of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
