“Today, 63 cases of Omicron have been laboratory confirmed in Georgia. Most of these cases are imported from other countries and there is no severe course of the disease, most of the infected have been vaccinated. We predict that within 2-3 weeks, Omicron may become dominant in our country.

Omicron is relatively easy for vaccinated people, even for non-vaccinated people it is still going lightly. One of the theories and views is that Omicron may be the beginning of the end of the pandemic. But it is not that easy”, - said Amiran Gamkrelidze.
