The officers of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of complex and intensive operative-search and investigative activities, arrested 6 drug dealers: A.K., (DoB 1987), M.T. (DoB 1997), D.M. (DoB 1980) who is currently on probation, A.G. (DoB 2000) M.B. (DoB1985) and foreign citizen T.U. (DoB 1987).

In Tbilisi, Ponichala and Rustavi, law enforcers, based on the relevant decision of the court, carried out several control purchases of buprenorphine, heroin and marijuana and recorded the process.

During the personal search of the detainees and search conducted in their residential apartments, the police seized 4 packages of marijuana, 5 cannabis plants and an electric scale as evidence. As a result of the search of A.G’s house, 2 packages of heroin drug, other drug substance packed in 10 boxes of matches and an electric scale were found. Cash allegedly obtained from the sale of drugs was also seized as evidence from the accused persons.

The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department, Central Criminal Police Department, the Main Division for Security Regime under the State Security Service along with the Customs Department of the Revenue Service, as a result of jointly held operative and investigative activities, arrested R.A. (DoB 1968) for illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities.

During the personal search of the detainee, the law enforcers seized 24 pills of “Buprenorphine” containing “Subutex” drug as evidence.

The officers from the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also arrested G.S. (DoB 1980), for drug-related crime. During his personal search, 43 pills of “Buprenorphine” drug were seized.

The officers of Isani-Samgori Police Main Division detained A.A. (DoB 1989) in Tbilisi for illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities. During the personal search of the detainee, the law enforcers seized the low quality heroin drug and a large amount of cash.

The officers of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division detained S.R. (DoB 1993) for illegal purchase and storing of drugs. During the personal search of the detainee, the police seized “Alpha PvP” drug as evidence.

The officers of the Detectives Division under Adjara Police Department, as a result of operative and investigative activities, arrested T.A., (DoB 1988) for illegal purchase and storage of drugs in especially large quantities.

During the search of the vehicle of T.A., the law enforcers seized 4 packages of “heroin” drug as evidence.

The committed crimes envision from 8 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.

Investigation is in progress under article 260 and 273(1) of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
