Two more spaces - Libani and Sarajishvili square parks - to be added in Tbilisi. Such a statement made today a Mayor of the capital.
“We have started the rehabilitation of the road divider on Sarajishvili Avenue in the Gldani district. You remember that a tram ran here years ago. This space has remained here since the abolition of tram traffic in the capital, which is very unfortunate, because today, its restoration will cost hundreds of millions of Euros, which will be a very heavy burden for the city, however, let’s see what the future brings, anything is possible.
A boulevard will be made on this road divider. Two more spaces will be added to this project for rehabilitation - these are Libani and Sarajishvili square parks, which will be renovated and trees will be planted. The project also envisions the arrangement of bicycle lanes, walking and running paths, lighting, and irrigation systems. This project defines everything that a modern square park may need. The cost of the project is about 7.5 million GEL. It is a very large-scale work because the area is more than 5 hectares”, - said Kakha Kaladze.
