Pre-trial detention ordered for Soso Gogashvili

Pre-trial detention has been ordered for the former Deputy Head of the State Security Service, Soso Gogashvili.

The defence demanded his release on GEL 50,000 bail, while the prosecution demanded detention. The trial was closed after Gogashvili spoke about the details of his arrest.

The pre-trial session will be held on September 8, at 14:00.

The former deputy head of the Security Service was detained in his house as a result of a special operation. He was officially charged under Articles 133, 157 and 236 of the Criminal Code.
