Employees of Vake-Saburtalo Police Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative activities, arrested G. Ch. (DoB 1996) on the charges of inflicting minor health injury on purpose and illegal purchase, storage and carrying of firearms in Tbilisi.

The committed crime envisions up to 7 years of imprisonment.

The investigation established that on October 5 of the current year, on the basis of a mutual dispute, the accused person wounded L.S. (DoB 1996) with a firearm and fled from the scene. The injured man was taken to the hospital by the ambulance crew, where he was given appropriate assistance.

The police, as a result of investigative activities conducted on a hot trail, detained G. Ch. shortly after the incident, as an accused person.

The investigation is being conducted in accordance with Article 118, part I and Article 236, Parts III and IV of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
