Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia held and led an Executive Government Meeting today. Members of the Cabinet of Ministers of Georgia considered 16 agenda items during the meeting.
Three wind and five hydro power plant projects initiated by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia (MESD) were among the agenda items. They are intended for implementation in various regions of the country, including Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kakheti, Kartli and Imereti.
Established capacity of the energy projects submitted to the Executive Government Meeting is over 250 megawatts in total, while the overall investment exceeds 400 MLN USD.
Respective Agreements will be concluded with companies investing in the referred power plants. Feasibility Studies will be commissioned as a result as well as the ultimate construction works.
