The historic decision made in Brussels is the subject of political assessments in Tbilisi. The opposition says that it is necessary to implement the received recommendations in order to grant the country the status of a candidate.

According to Mikheil Daushvili, a member of the parliamentary political group “For Georgia”, now is the time for unity in order to move Georgia to the next stage of European integration.

“We should thank for this victory the Georgian people, who proved many times to the whole world that our choice is Europe and not Russia. Also, we should thank the European people who did not leave us alone with Russia in this difficult time. Today is not the time for further polarization and confrontation. Now is the time for unity to fulfill all recommendations in order to move to the next stage”, - said Mikheil Daushvili.
