      Registration for political parties without current parliamentary representation to participate in the October 26, 2024 Parliamentary Elections has been completed.

      “The application deadline expired on July 15. Twenty-eight political unions applied to the CEC for registration. Out of these, nine political parties have already been registered, while the remaining nineteen are still undergoing registration procedures. According to the election legislation, a party must submit a list of at least 25,000 voters supporting its participation in the Parliamentary elections to the CEC within 60 days of receiving the sample list of party supporters, but no later than August 1.

      We would also like to remind you that, in addition to the mentioned political parties, those political parties that meet the conditions established by the Election Code of Georgia has the right to participate in the October 26, 2024 Parliamentary Elections. In particular, the political parties that were registered for the 2020 elections of the Parliament of Georgia and at the time of the appointment of the elections have elected member of the Parliament under their nomination also meet the mentioned requirement. The following parties meet this criterion:

      Georgian Dream- Democratic Georgia
      Lelo for Georgia
      New Political Center - Girchi
      Aleko Elisashvili - Citizens
      European Georgia - Movement for Freedom
      Alliance of Georgian Patriots
      Giorgi Vashadze - Strategy Aghmashenebeli
      Law and Justice
      United National Movement
      European Democrats of Georgia
      Republican Party of Georgia
      Movement State for the People
      Progress and freedom

      To gain eligibility to participate in the Georgian Parliamentary elections, the above-mentioned political parties must submit an appropriate statement signed by their authorized representative(s) to the Chairperson of the CEC no later than the 57th day after the election announcement (August 30)
