Maximum one year left, after which both global and regional political interests, as well as interests towards Georgia in particular, will fundamentally change, Bidzina Ivanishvili, honorary chairman of Georgian Dream, said in his speech at the opening of the new central office of Georgian Dream.

“Despite the most difficult challenges and the most severe pressures, during the past 4 years, we have maintained peace, doubled the country’s nominal economy in dollars and received the EU candidate status. All of this was made possible by the support of the Georgian society, which, despite many waves of misinformation and manipulation, did not make a mistake and protected Georgia from the tragedy that, unfortunately, befell Ukraine.

There is no doubt that the population of Georgia will hold the elections on October 26 without error and Georgian Dream will get the majority of mandates in the Parliament of Georgia once again. However, in this case it is not enough. We need an exceptionally solid, constitutional majority to finally end the war party, agents, radicalism, polarization and liberal fascism in Georgia, in order for Georgia to irreversibly continue its peaceful development, economic progress and to reach European standards of well-being, which is a necessary condition for the country"s accession to the EU.

In order to ensure the irreversible development of the country, it is necessary for the collective [United] National Movement [UNM] to be fully accountable to the Georgian society and the law. After the elections, they will have to answer for all the crimes they committed during their time in power, especially the execution of the order in 2008 and the country’s involvement in the war, which cost our country the temporary loss of two historic regions. We lost control over 125 settlements, 412 of our citizens died, about 2,000 people were injured, 126,000 of our compatriots have been displaced in their homeland. That is why we need maximum public legitimacy.
The desire of the global war party is clear. After seeing that we will not get involved in the war and cannot sacrifice Georgia to share the fate of Ukraine, they have a last attempt to return to power the agents, the collective UNM, which will take this step as soon as it receives the task.

That is why they are lobbying the old and new UNM - Saakashvili, Gvaramia, Zourabichvili, Khazaradze, Gakharia, Bokeria and other politicians who will sign for any task. “Either you are involved in war or you leave” - this is a completely unacceptable attitude, to which the population of Georgia will give an appropriate response on October 26

It is clear to everyone that in case of getting involved in the war, Georgia will get even worse results than Ukraine. Avoiding this result is the primary task, which will be finally solved on October 26 with another victory of Georgian Dream”, - said Bidzina Ivanishvili.
