Nika Gvaramia, a Director General of Rustavi2 makes a special statement. As Gvaramia says he is not going to leave the company despite blackmail and continues to fight for the independent speech.

" I think that the best way against  blackmail is to talk about it. Now we are dealing with something, that is much more important than my personal well-being  or even broadcasting of Rustavi2. Today the future of the country is at the stake. I address to the government- upload whatever  you want. I don"t care for it.  It is my personal life. If I am a victim of illegal , you will be responsible for that not in front of Urtmelidze, but in front of an independent  court .

I have not done anything in life, publication of which would be worse than my escape from Rustavi2, betrayal of my colleagues and those individuals  to whom I have responsibility, it will  be betrayl of our audience.  I will not do it despite the blackmail. 

 Whatever will be the court"s decision tomorrow, it will be illegal.   We are not going to execute it. We are going to continue broadcasting in the same format.  If someone will invade into the company violently we"ll protect ourselves by force,"-said Nika Gvaramia.
