Memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Health and City Cancer Challenge Foundation

Early diagnosis of cancer and “high-quality treatment” services will be provided to patients following a deal signed on Tuesday between the Georgian Health Ministry and the Geneva-based City Cancer Challenge Foundation.

Mikheil Sarjveladze, the Minister of Health, and Sophie Bussmann-Kemdjo, the Foundation’s Regional Director in Africa and Europe, signed the memorandum, with the former noting “all necessary medical services” would become “even more accessible to every patient with oncological diseases” through “intensive cooperation” with the Foundation.

The deal marks a continuation of cooperation between the sides in joint projects for cancer patients since 2019.
