The Mayor of Tbilisi expressed gratitude to Prime Minister for his positive assessment, which suggested that Kakha Kaladze is the only alternative candidate in the upcoming local self-government elections.

"The recent progress in Tbilisi is not solely my achievement. It is the result of the collaborative efforts of my entire team. I would like to thank everyone involved in these projects.

The final decision on the mayoral candidacy would rest with the Georgian Dream’s political council. We will make a statement on this a little later. Political council will meet, and we will decide both on the mayoral candidates and our representative in the Sakrebulo", - said the Mayor.

He also dismissed the opposition`s chances in the upcoming elections, asserting that the Georgian people would not support them: "When you are radical, an enemy of the country, and governed from abroad, you are a traitor, and you will not have any support from the Georgian people. They understand this well and know they are doomed to failure. That is why they do not want to participate. They have no chance, regardless of whether they are united or fragmented".
